Visual poem by Pierre-Louis Mascia
In a FW25/26 collection at Milan men’s fashion week French designer and illustrator Pierre-Louis Mascia and his team create a collection dedicated to escapism, melancholy, the search for sensuality and beauty in a harsh world.
Inspired by Schopenhauer's vision of the artist, the collection reflects on human fragility and embodies a wandering for beauty as the very essence of art and freedom. The collection blends Victorian, Italian Renaissance and "Keatsian" motifs.
Following its style, the brand presents fluid tailoring, casual elegance and luxurious fabrics. The collection includes bomber jackets, long silk-lined coats, floating trousers and flowing dresses, shawls and stoles, velvet kimonos and quilted jackets.
Pierre-Louis Mascia works closely with the Italian textile printing workshop Achille Pinto. Known for its baroque prints with eclectic motifs, Mascia introduces 20 new designs, merging analog and digital techniques. They are inspired by Julia Margaret Cameron's melancholic portraits, the Pre-Raphaelite drawings by Aubrey Beardsley and fragments of "Bright star".
Accompanied by an original soundtrack created by Thomas Zaï–Gillot, the show transcends fashion and each image becomes a tribute to fleeting beauty and human feelings.
