&ldquo;Madonna or Miley?&rdquo; That was the guessing game on Instagram after Maison Margiela teased the eye of its new muse. The reveal came today: Miley Cyrus, fronting Glenn Martens&rsquo;s Fall/Winter 2025&ndash;26 Avant-Premi&egrave;re collection in a campaign shot by Paolo Roversi.

Following his Artisanal debut at Haute Couture Week, Martens brings his ready-to-wear into focus with portraits that merge Cyrus&rsquo;s raw intensity with Margiela&rsquo;s conceptual codes.
The images carry Roversi&rsquo;s signature intimacy. Cyrus is seen in body-hugging silhouettes, in soft reworks of the 5AC bag, and in the house&rsquo;s Tabi boots &mdash; including a &ldquo;Bianchetto&rdquo; version, painted white to give vintage pieces new life. The collection continues the house&rsquo;s tradition of inversion: pleated skirts worn inside-out, satin dresses reconstructed with exposed seams, coats flipped to reveal shining interiors. Imperfection becomes design &mdash; creases left untouched, sun-worn fabrics preserved, humble materials transformed into statements.
Accessories echo the same story. The classic 5AC appears in softened, tactile finishes; a new trapezoidal &ldquo;Dress-Age&rdquo; bag debuts in sculptural proportions; Sprinters sneakers, based on 1950s track shoes, are remade in distressed leathers and bright treatments, each pair intentionally unique.

Roversi&rsquo;s images highlight this push-pull between fragility and force. Cyrus moves through the frames like both subject and material &mdash; sometimes monumental, sometimes ghostlike. The campaign reflects Martens&rsquo;s belief that Margiela is less a fashion house than a workshop of ideas, where time itself becomes fabric and imperfection becomes beauty.
