At the BAFTA ceremony, French actor Kevin Dias, who won over viewers of the series Emily in Paris with his charming smile and velvety voice, shared his style secrets and talked about his upcoming projects.

Velour on the red carpet &ndash; why not?

At the BAFTAs, Dias appeared in a sage-colored suit by Fursac &mdash; a bold and unconventional choice for a formal event.

&ldquo;I've always admired how velour catches the light &mdash; it gives the fabric depth, an almost ethereal quality,&rdquo; explains the actor. &ldquo;The sage color seemed like a fresh choice, different from the usual red carpet palette.&rdquo;

The choice of brand was also deliberate. Dias follows the work of Gautier Borsarello, artistic director at Fursac: &ldquo;He has a real understanding of contemporary men's fashion. The house's aesthetic is completely in line with my style&mdash;it's the perfect wardrobe for a French man.&rdquo;

From school bugs to vintage finds

Dias' first fashion memories are from his school days, when he discovered the power of clothing as a means of self-expression.

&ldquo;I was drawn to the style of certain artists at the time &mdash; baggy pants from Marith&eacute; + Fran&ccedil;ois Girbaud, ECKO hoodies, and the latest Nike Air Force sneakers,&rdquo; he recalls. &ldquo;I asked my mom, who was a stylist, to take me shopping. Those early experiences of finding my own style with my mom were very important &mdash; even if I was naive about price tags!&rdquo;

Today, the actor still loves unique items, although he has less time to browse vintage shops. &ldquo;I used to be able to spend hours in second-hand stores. Now I'm short on time, but the passion is still there.&rdquo;

The fashion gene is inherited

It turns out that a love of style runs in the Dias family.

&ldquo;It seems that my son has inherited this gene too &mdash; he loves choosing his outfit every morning,&rdquo; smiles the actor.
</blockquote>
Dias describes his style in three words: vintage, relaxed, and authentic.

Musical ambitions and new projects

The big news is that the actor is working on a music project.

&ldquo;Music has always been an important part of my life. After recording a few songs for Emily in Paris, I felt it was time to explore my own musical voice. It's a very personal, quite raw and intimate project.&rdquo;
</blockquote>
In addition, Dias starred in the film Forced Vacation (in theaters since June) and in the new French series NOUVEAU JOUR, about which he says, &ldquo;I can say that it's very inspiring!&rdquo;
