Dolce&Gabbana's Modern Neoclassical Style for Summer 2021
While some brands use the moment we are living in to innovate, create new opportunities and seek alternatives that can be adopted in the near future, even after the pandemic, for Dolce & Gabbana it is a little different. The brand presented its men's collection for Summer 2021 on the campus of the Humanitas University in Milan, to a considerably large audience.
After Alta Moda's virtual presentation did not turn out the way it was expected to be, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana decided to abandon the digital alternative. The looks followed a pattern of colours and prints inspired by mosaics and the Greco-Roman civilization. Elements inspired by sea blues are combined with light white fabrics, and the looks pay homage to creativity, Italian design and the unforgettable atmosphere of a holiday in Sorrento. The encounter between the contemporary and the neoclassical inspired a collection of pure sartorial architecture.
In partnership with For Funding and within health regulations in Italy, the event supported the Humanitas University for scientific research, even with a link to donations.
