In search for answers to vital questions, more and more people are turning to the stars, so astrology is now experiencing a real renaissance. Angela Pearl (Angela Pearl @angelapearlastrology), based in Australia, is one of the most famous astrologers on the internet who has helped thousands of people over the past 25 years to better understand themselves and &ldquo;reshape&rdquo; their destiny. In an interview with L&rsquo;Officiel Baltic, Angela spoke about her journey into astrology and explained how exactly this science can change lives.

How did you start your journey in astrology and what made you choose this science?
It happened by chance, although I don't believe in coincidences any more. At that moment I did not believe in astrology and other esoteric sciences. I lived in Ukraine and worked as a mathematics teacher. Once my friend and I went to see an astrologer, who told me: &ldquo;Literally in a few months your life will change, you will part with your husband, your house will burn down, and you will emigrate.&rdquo; She said other strange things that I, of course, was not planning. However, all of that happened - the fire, the break uo, a visit to a friend in Australia, where I eventually stayed. Of course, I was curious how the astrologer was able to see all these events in my horoscope!
What is a horoscope? A photo of the starry sky at the time of our birth, our map. The degrees between the planets, located in a certain order on the day and hour of our birth, tell us a lot. I decided to study it and have been doing astrology for 25 years.
A certain sequence of events led you into the profession. Do you consider yourself a fatalist?
Not at all. Moreover, I do not consider astrology to be my ultimate goal. I think I'm more of a motivator now. Even the prize I received in Cannes at the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA) this year was given to me as a &ldquo;positive influencer in the world of astrology&rdquo;, and not just as an astrologer, and this is a great value for me and a more accurate direction in life than just reading horoscopes. I have always considered astrology to be a stepping stone on the way to something else, because in the end, every astrological consultation I give turns into a psychological one.

How can astrology help people better understand themselves and their destiny?
In most cases, astrology can help one see their possibilities. I often see that people can potentially reach some heights, fulfill their desires, their aspirations, but fear, doubts interfere, and it doesn&rsquo;t work out. The most important thing, it seems to me, in my role in convincing them, in saying: "Try, take that step." Very often people come back to me and tell me that, having listened to me, they were able to change their lives. Quite recently, in a Riga gourmet restaurant, a girl who had previously seen me for consultations approached our table. She had been working as a lawyer, but did not get joy from her work. I advised her to do what she loved. As a result, she received a new training and became a pastry chef. She came to us with a box of homemade chocolates. I even filmed a video. This is just one example of how a person, simply by receiving support, was able to change her path and become happier.
What exactly can one see in a horoscope?
In a personal horoscope, one can see your strengths and weaknesses - your character, which planet rules you, whether your career is more important to you, or home and family are a priority. You can see the true values of a person.
Now is such a good time! We have stopped living according to a pattern, we no longer need to be the same. Now you don't have to be like everyone else. Everyone can adhere to what is truly close to them. The horoscope allows you to determine this more clearly.

The main thing is to allow yourself to be who you want to be.

What are your thoughts about predictive astrology and predicting the future?
I always try to make factual rather than descriptive predictions. The most important thing is to build on the starting point&mdash;where the person is in their life right now. When I see that there is a very good opportunity to improve in a career or in status, but at the same time a person is in a completely different reality, I understand that this aspect may not work. If a client asks me whether they will be promoted at work, or asks questions about having children, I can see the answers to these questions. But they must be ready for changes in their life.

Why do you think so many people like to say "it's all retrograde Mercury's fault"? Because of their unwillingness to take responsibility for their actions?
It has already become a meme. But to be fait, retrograde Mercury is a frequent position - it repeats every four months of the year. I personally like this planet, because it forces us to return to the unfinished business and finish it. It is a very good time. Redesign, rethink, reevaluate - that's what it is best suited for. Mercury symbolizes our thoughts, it tests how focused we are. Sometimes we are so busy, we spin so fast that we forget some things, we lose them, and that is what Mercury shows us.
Is it possible to make an analysis of interpersonal relationships and compatibility based on astrology?
As a rule, opposite signs are attracted, complementing each other - qualities that one partner does not have are present in the other. And vice versa. There are six pairs of such signs. But you need to look both at the main sign and the ascendant - an astrological sign that rose on the eastern horizon at the time of a person's birth. When I analyze compatibility, I also look at the position of the Moon, which tells us about everyday habits. It is important to understand how people like to live, because, for example, tidiness and order might be important to one person, but the othe might not pay attention to that. Or one likes to travel, but the other is a homebody. It is important to take these aspects into account.
What important lessons and principles of life have you yourself learned through astrology?
The most important thing is to seize opportunities, not to be afraid to try. We all go through tough times, but we shouldn't waste time grieving and blaming ourselves. We must consider such times as 'experience' and move on. The worst thing is to waste time and look back. There is a saying in Australia: &ldquo;If you ride a bike and look back, you will fall.&rdquo; You should always look ahead.

What is your opinion about the skeptics in regard to astrology and how can you explain its effectiveness?
I think if a person does not believe in anything, there is no point in arguing with them. There are other sciences besides astrology that help answer life's questions that we all ask ourselves. Astrology is just one such tool. In my experience it's tool that works, but it's important to understand that astrology is not a religion, but just a map of possibilities. It is up to you whether you use them or not.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
The fact that society has paid attention to what I do makes me happy. The award that I received at Cannes was definitely a special moment. But most of all I am pleased with the large number of letters from people whom my consultations helped. When they write to me telling that everything worked out, that a child was born, that a person was able to get a job they had dreamed of, or met their love. This feedback is amazing, when I receive it, I know that I am doing something necessary and useful for people.
Why in your view astrology is one of the trends at the moment, and how do you see the future of astrology and its impact on people and society?
It is absolutely clear why astrology is so popular now. Chaos reigns in the world, the speed of life is increasing, we feel unstable, therefore, we search for support, and people will more and more turn not only to astrology, but also to other esoteric sciences.

What is Angela Pearl's recipe for a good mood?
Smile is my credo, staying positive is my philosophy. I practice them. When we feel joy, we can materialize our thoughts and desires. Therefore, you need to focus on the positive. When I wake up, I don&rsquo;t get up until I smile and feel gratitude for the fact that I live in this world, for my health and the feeling of how much good can happen to me on this new day. If I wake up in a bad mood, I meditate. You need to track negative thoughts and get rid of them. And, of course, you need to do everything out of self-love, and self-care.
