Irina Pritsker, a creative director with over 15 years in design, branding, and communications, shares her playbook for elevating campaign effectiveness through proven techniques and case studies.

Irina began her career as an advertising specialist at Bierhof, the exclusive Russian representative of Austria&rsquo;s SalmBrau brewery. There, she was a key player in promoting the company and strengthening its market position: beyond brand development, she also conducted market research, developed strategies, and organized large-scale events. Irina recalls that this job gave her a solid professional foundation, helping her understand business processes, develop a feel for the product, and grasp audience needs.
A significant part of Irina&rsquo;s career was tied to the advertising agency AdFactor, where she managed ad campaigns for various clients, conducted marketing research and analysis, and coordinated team efforts. After two years, she was entrusted with creating and developing a design studio&mdash;a new division within the agency, launched in response to growing demand for visual and unconventional solutions.

"Working across diverse teams and projects, I&rsquo;ve developed both visual and systems thinking capabilities&mdash;it taught me to see projects in context and understand how certain images influence brand perception. Moving into a managerial role was a natural progression," Irina recalls.

Effective projects cannot be executed without a talented team. Irina had to assemble hers practically from scratch. Under her leadership, the department employed around 20 specialists: designers, creatives, and managers. She notes that solving this challenge was difficult amid a shortage of skilled professionals:

"I followed several key principles. First, I sought people who share the company&rsquo;s values and mission, possess flexible thinking, and can quickly adapt to changes. This is especially important in the creative industry, where experience alone isn&rsquo;t enough&mdash;you need the ability to think outside the box and generate fresh ideas. Second, I actively promoted internal training and mentorship. Hiring experienced professionals was essential, but equally vital was investing in team development and fostering a culture of continuous growth and knowledge sharing."

Irina cultivated a comfortable work environment where everyone understood the significance of their contributions, boosting motivation and engagement. Clear processes and well-defined roles helped minimize inefficiencies and accelerate work. Thanks to strategic hiring, employee development, and a supportive atmosphere, the team successfully handled both routine tasks and more complex projects.
Ultimately, the design studio quickly evolved into an independent business unit, helping AdFactor strengthen its position in the premium segment and expand its service offerings.

Irina&rsquo;s team has worked with many renowned brands, including Czech luxury jewelry label Style Avenue, international diamond jewelry brand EPL Diamond, niche luxury perfumery House of Sillage (USA), and global fitness chain UFC Gym Group. Each new project presented a unique challenge tied to solving specific client needs.
For example, Japanese watch brand Seiko needed to showcase new products and motivate its partner network to expand retail presence in Russia. Irina&rsquo;s team organized a large-scale two-day dealer conference where distributors discovered new releases, participated in product sessions, and gained incentives to deepen collaboration.
Another example was working with the Italian premium fashion and footwear brand Castello d&rsquo;Oro. To promote the company&rsquo;s collections internationally, Irina&rsquo;s team regularly arranged photo shoots, including at Italy&rsquo;s stunning Lake Como.
Several interesting projects were executed for Casio. A key campaign was for the Casio Sheen women&rsquo;s watch line, featuring singer and TV host Sati Kazanova as brand ambassador.

"The challenge was to harmoniously blend Casio&rsquo;s technological edge with Sati Kazanova&rsquo;s feminine image. We struck a balance between her charisma and the brand&rsquo;s aesthetics&mdash;resulting in widespread media coverage and genuine audience interest," Irina recalls. "Any public figure is already an established brand. My task was to integrate their image into the brand&rsquo;s DNA so neither loses its identity. With Sati Kazanova, we succeeded. She looked natural on camera because she was part of the concept from the start."

To promote next-generation digital pianos, Irina brought composer Dmitry Malikov on board&mdash;his persona perfectly complemented the brand&rsquo;s values. The project allowed the audience to emotionally "hear" the product.
As Irina explained, involving celebrities in ad campaigns serves both to attract attention to the brand and to define its image. However, choosing the right person is critical.

"I always rely on three key criteria," says Irina Pritsker. "First, the brand&rsquo;s and individual&rsquo;s values must align. Second, their audiences should overlap&mdash;because even the most beautiful visuals won&rsquo;t resonate if they don&rsquo;t connect with viewers. Third, image compatibility matters&mdash;visual style. How the celebrity looks on screen, their surroundings, their speech&mdash;it all must harmonize. When everything is in sync, you get a truly impactful and effective project."

When developing creative campaigns, Irina always conducts in-depth analysis of the brand, audience, product, and market context, ensuring visual solutions are both aesthetically compelling and results-driven:

"At the start of any project, I lean on several key pillars. First, professional experience. Over time, you develop an intuition that helps quickly weed out weak ideas and identify what will truly work. Second, research&mdash;both user and competitive. It reveals market gaps and opportunities to stand out. And of course, client dialogue: deeply understanding their goals, values, and internal brand context leads to solutions that aren&rsquo;t just effective but organically integrated into the brand&rsquo;s DNA."

A crucial rule Irina Pritsker follows is that a campaign idea must be clear, precise, and visually striking. It should captivate instantly, evoke emotions, yet remain easily digestible.

"I always strive for balance&mdash;between creativity and logic, form and meaning, boldness and relevance," the expert notes. "When coordinating the process, I structure the team so everyone owns their role while collectively working toward unified visual and strategic goals. Visual advertising is teamwork, but the creative director sets the tone, maintains focus, and ensures quality. One more rule I live by: visuals must speak the audience&rsquo;s language. Only then do they stand out and become truly memorable and impactful."
