Color revolution: the return of boldness
The new TAG Heuer Formula 1 is a vibrant accent piece inspired by the original 80s models, brought to life in nine versions. The main collection features three timepieces with classic black and white, deep blue and rich red dials. The limited editions are a play of contrasts: black with red, black with yellow, white with green, white with red, deep blue with black and extravagant green with red.
The redesigned 38mm case retains the famous “décroché”, a recognizable curve that gives the models a unique dynamic. The proportions have also been revised. The Formula 1 now sits even more comfortably on the wrist without losing its charismatic boldness. The Super-LumiNova® markers have been enriched and the hands, inspired by historical models, have become even more elegant and expressive.
Solar-powered heart: Solargraph
But the main innovation of the collection is the Solargraph mechanism. It is the first Formula 1 to be powered by solar energy. No more battery changes: two minutes in the sun is enough for a day's power reserve, and a full charge allows the watch to run for up to 10 months even without light. If they suddenly stop, just 10 seconds under any light source and they're back in business.
This technology is a step into the future that harmoniously complements the innovative design. TH-Polylight is another revolution in materials. Lightweight, durable, with limitless color possibilities, it optimizes both ergonomics and aesthetics. The new bezel made of TH-Polylight is not just visually striking - when rotated, it emits a subtle mechanical sound, adding a sense of tactile luxury.
