Icon from the 2000s, Paris Hilton will cook in new venture

If you watched cable TV in the 2000s, you probably followed closely &quot;The Simple Life&quot;, a hilarious reality show that showed Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie venturing to the four corners of the United States and experiencing &quot;a simpler life&quot;. The program put Paris&#39;s name on the map, making it famous globally.&nbsp;And if you were missing to see the socialite doing crazy things on TV, get ready that Netflix has just released its newest project. &quot;Cooking with Paris&quot; opens on August 4th and will feature the star playing the role of a chef (or nearly so).

&quot;I&#39;m so happy! I&#39;ll be back on TV next month and this time I&#39;ll be in charge of the kitchen!&quot; she said on Twitter and even warned her followers that &quot;more ads&quot; are to come.

The photo released already gives an excellent preview of how the new vibe will be: all in pink and with a &quot;LA princess&quot; face, of course! Paris will also act as executive producer for the six episodes of the show.

In a statement, Netflix says, &quot;Paris Hilton can cook... sort of. And she&#39;s turning the traditional cooking show upside down. She&#39;s not a trained chef and she&#39;s not trying to be. With the help of her Celebrity friends, she browses new ingredients, new recipes and exotic cookware. Inspired by her viral YouTube video, Paris will take us from supermarket to ready-made table - and she can really learn to get by in the kitchen.

It will be, to say the least, a lot of fun!
