Pop Up UKRAINIAN Designers in NYC

DOORS NYC, New York experiential pop-up platform and PR showroom, is opening its doors for the fifth time. For nearly a month, from September 8 to October 3, New Yorkers and guests of the city will be able to immerse themselves in the edgy and innovative fashion experience in the heart of Soho.

The official opening of the pop-up was held on September 13th. DOORS NYC prepared a monthlong event calendar, featuring 50 fashion designers, 10 up-and-coming artists, and 10 beauty brands curated by Beautyque NYC.

DOORS NYC aims to become the biggest and best curated omni-channel platform for independent fashion and art talents in the world. Sudden and seismic changes in the lives of Ukrainian people this year after the war started have raised the crucial question - “How can I help?”.

“Local businesses are doing their best to stay afloat. We didn’t say no to any Ukrainian fashion brand this year and accepted everyone, whether they were interested in pop-up, e-commerce or PR guidance. Some brands sent us only a couple of samples of their merchandise,” - commented the founder of DOORS NYC, Alise Trautmane-Uzuner.

Pop-up showcased more than 20 Ukrainian brands. “Blue Skies” is the main theme of this year. Designers are reviving folklore traditions by actively borrowing elements of the national costume. Fashion is an emotion! With shapes and textures, designers can lift your spirits and speak to your soul.

“In such a difficult time, each person is searching for the strength to create and live. For me, Ukrainian folk architecture became that support. This is embodied in the mini-collection KHUTIR by PODYH – a brand at the intersection of fashion and architecture. Touching this heritage, you’re able to feel both the cultural background and multifaceted talents of the Ukrainian people,” - described their new collection PODYH fashion brand, represented at the pop-up this year.

After the end of the pop-up, DOORS NYC will continue to give free PR guidance to Ukrainian brands and showcase them on their e-commerce platform.
