As both new and festive interpretations of the Baguette in the year of the 25th anniversary, the Kim Jones and Silvia Venturini-Fendi collections for Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Tiffany &amp; Co, Sarah Jessica Parker and Porter honor the bag and the New York city.

Drawing inspiration from the bag itself, the moment in time, and the character and geography of the place, the Baguette comes in a variety of new looks and accessories, reflecting the signature of the House as much as the iconic item itself, without forgetting the pleasure and sense of celebration of its wearer.
In this daring romance of Upper and Lower Manhattan, luxury and practicality, exaggeration and reality, the Baguette and the clothing and accessories inspired by it are instantly defined as a moment in history and part of the continuum of today.

For Fendi, the multi-pocket motif that pervades the entire collection is the focal point. The unmistakable dimensions of the Baguette are embodied in mini and micro pockets appearing everywhere, from parkas to leggings, seemingly wandering all over the body, covering gloves, hats, skirts, sweaters and, of course, the bags themselves in one of the new versions. Contrasting in mood and at the same time tying everything together, a feeling of hyper-luxury and glossy glamor prevails in the collection. After all, the Baguette is not exactly a utilitarian model. The leggings are made of silk satin, and the parkas are made of sheared mink or shiny leather; layered sequins and bias-cut silk often show through from the inside out, adding a shimmery, Art Deco note.

In Marc Jacobs's version, the majestic dimensions of the past are contrasted with the modesty of today, and thus banish the notion of costume from his collection. A reflection of New York's glittering, sandy cityscape, everyday wear goes formal with parachute train skirts, ripped denim jackets lined with aircraft fabric, rustling cellophane opera wraps, and fluorescent fur stoles and recycled fur hats. A sheen of rhinestones, silver and fluorescent yellow permeates everything, becoming an almost literal example of "local color", inspired by the glass facades and safety vests of the workers who can be found on the streets of the city. Platformed and exaggerated, the Baguette also shares some of these grandiose silhouettes - elongated and radiant, it comes with many mini versions of its own attached to it.

"Fendi at Tiffany's" - Fendi visiting Tiffany's - could be the name of the meeting of these two great Houses. In this version, the iconic New York brand reimagines the Baguette in its most precious form, using sterling silver, enamel, crocodile leather, white gold and diamonds. The letters T and F complement each other in the logo of the diamond-studded white gold clasps, while the lustrous crocodile leather takes on the hue of the famous Tiffany Blue, a color that also flawlessly highlights Fendi's fabric palette. Perhaps most striking of all is the unprecedented Baguette in fluted sterling silver. Handcrafted by Tiffany artisans over the course of four months, it is engraved with lilies and roses, the national colors of Italy and New York State, respectively. It also exemplifies Fendi's first Hand in Hand partnership outside of Italy and exemplifies Tiffany &amp; Co's excellence in craftsmanship.

&ldquo;It's not a bag, it's a Baguette,&rdquo; says Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City, and this model reaches its pop apotheosis. This phrase is also inscribed inside each bag of the SJP capsule collection, or otherwise - Baguette. Designed alongside the SVF (Silvia Venturini Fendi's acronym), these models, embroidered with sequins in graduated shades of lilac, wasabi, soft pink and light blue, have four interchangeable clasps so that the wearer can change them depending on moods.

In contrast, Japanese luggage and travel accessories brand Porter's supreme practicality gives the Baguette a distinctly masculine appeal. Famed for its heavy-duty nylon twill - yet exudes a sense of beauty and luxury - combined with the precision of Japanese craftsmanship, it puts lightness and functionality first. The Porter collection is inspired by one of the latest incarnations of the Baguette: the Bum Baguette.
