Moir&eacute; Gallery Milano, the Milanese art gallery and concept store in Via Borgospesso 18, presents &ldquo;La Dolce Vita&rdquo;, the new set-up dedicated to the summer season and Italian excellences, in fashion as well as in art.

"La Dolce Vita" is a tribute to summer, its colours and its postcard atmospheres. A joyful, carefree and at the same time sophisticated exhibition, which winks at the Italian summers of the 60&rsquo;s, capable of creating a dialogue between the world of fashion, represented by the clothes of Crida Milano, and that of art, with the works of Marco Lodola, Nicoletta Gatti, Daniele Fortuna and Maurilio Catalano.

Crida Milano dresses, with their refined and timeless style, represent the excellence of Italian fashion. The brand, founded in Bergamo by the creative duo Cristina Parodi and Daniela Palazzi, dresses a woman who loves an old-fashioned femininity and a discreet allure. Natural silks from Como and Tuscan companies, splendid cottons made in Bergamo: Crida is Italian fashion in materials, style and manufacturing. Each piece is a message of love for Italy and each one bears the name of an Italian location to recall the local origin of the fabrics: it is the unmistakable signature of Crida and its commitment to supporting Italian manufacturing excellence. On the occasion of the new Moir&eacute; Gallery set-up, the new spring/summer 2025 collection will be presented with the evocative title &ldquo;Mediterranea&rdquo;. Fluid shapes, soft lines that accompany every type of silhouette, effortlessly chic style, fine and strictly Italian fabrics, a colour palette inspired by the great beauty of the Mediterranean. A collection that embodies the founders' idea of elegance: authentic, refined and deeply linked to Italian artisanal art.

In dialogue with the clothes designed by Crida Milano, the works of art by Marco Lodola, Nicoletta Gatti, Daniele Fortuna and Maurilio Catalano, four Italian artists, who evoke with their own language and their own unique and distinctive signature, an idea of chromatic energy, vitality and expressive power.
Born in Dorno in the province of Pavia, Marco Lodola, after attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence and Milan, in the early 1980s, together with other artists, founded the New Futurism movement, of which the critic Renato Barilli was the main theoretician. An Italian artist who boasts numerous exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, Marco Lodola combines visual art with other disciplines: literature, music, cinema, design. He soon approached the use of plastic materials that he shaped and coloured with a personal technique through the use of acrylic paints. Later, his research led him to include light in his works: this led to the birth of the luminous sculptures, statues in plexiglass illuminated internally with light tubes, which would characterize all his artistic production. Later Lodola returned to oil painting, reproducing his sculptures on canvas, often in life-size. The most present themes are dance, ballerinas, Vespa and pin-ups, in retro style. His works are present in various museums, and he has created sets for films, broadcasts, concerts and events. In particular, he is active with artistic collaborations in the fashion and theatre fields. Since several years, he has curated the external set design of the Ariston Theater in Sanremo on the occasion of the Italian Song Festival.

Daughter of art, Nicoletta Gatti was born in 1959 to the Piedmontese painter Umberto from whom she inherited her passion for painting and art in general. In 1998 she attended the Academy of Applied Arts in Milan, later graduating with an architectural background. She attended the chromatology course held by the artist Marco Casentini at the Brera Academy in Milan where she presented her first works. The protagonist of her works and her personal artistic process is the pigment through infinite monochromatic declinations. A refined and sensitive painter, Nicoletta Gatti tells of an imagined and imaginary space, through the purity of colour and the essence of signs.

Milanese, born in 1981, Daniele Fortuna is an artist and sculptor capable of combining art and design. Graduated at the Istituto Europeo di Moda e Design, since childhood he came into contact with the world of art thanks to his parents, passionate art collectors. His unique style combines Pop with classical forms, creating a bridge between past and present. His favourite material is wood painted with bright acrylic colours. From sculptures with classical subjects such as Venus and Zeus to those with Pop subjects such as Batman and Mickey Mouse, Daniele Fortuna's most famous series include Colormination, Heads Will Roll and Thologiny. Exclusively for Moir&eacute; Gallery, three unpublished works inspired by the new exhibition "La Dolce Vita".

Maurilio Catalano is an artist from Palermo (1942 &ndash; 2022), son of Eustachio Catalano, painter and director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. Maurilio Catalano, since the early 60&rsquo;s, became Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo and in 1963 he opened and directed the Galleria Arte al Borgo for more than 50 years, becoming a cultural reference point and a harpoon of artists. One of the few in Palermo who could boast an important friendship with Leonardo Sciascia, Maurilio Catalano becomes with his pictorial style the artistic representative of Sicily in Italy and abroad. His paintings are inspired by the sea, by the infinite shades of blue, by the creatures that live there and by the boats that cross it. An unmistakable style characterized by a playful approach that gives a dreamy atmosphere to his works.
