Part of Barrios de Lima, an ongoing editorial series developed within the framework of TTAG, aiming to produce one fashion editorial per district across Lima’s 43 barrios.
Shot in Santa María, this chapter focuses on a coastal district shaped by vacancy and seasonality. Beachside structures, a drained pool, and maritime remnants frame a space caught between use and abandonment.
This visual narrative examines how fashion, architecture, and image interact when the human presence is minimal. The absence of people shifts attention to form, surface, and gesture. Clothing becomes part of a spatial dialogue—futuristic yet nostalgic, minimal yet sculptural—set against a backdrop of decaying modernism.
Leaning into cinematic stillness, the editorial reflects on temporality, transition, and the ways in which visual language can reframe urban space.
As the project unfolds, Barrios de Lima continues to explore how image-making can map, interpret, and re-contextualize the city. By sharing these narratives through independent publications, the project invites broader reflections on contemporary Latin American culture—bridging geographies through visual storytelling and opening space for intercultural dialogue.
