Saint Laurent acquired a private collection of vintage clothing YSL
The collection contains archival items from Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, consisting of 4,000 items and dated from 1966 to 1985.
The brand acquired the items from designer Olivier Chatenay, collector of the Saint Laurent archive. In an interview, he revealed that he had a lot of fun collecting the brand's collection over the past 30 years. “I like that the collection will be useful and I am not the only one to enjoy it. I still love these things, even if they no longer belong to me, "- said Chatenay.
The collection includes coats, dresses, suits, blouses, bags, jewelery, several haute couture outfits, including a 1967 African beaded embroidered dress previously owned by the Duchess of Windsor.
