This is a story about how the classics meet modern art and create something absolutely extraordinary.
Since 2016, Dior has invited artists to reimagine the iconic Lady Dior, transforming it into a canvas for their wildest creative imaginations. Every year we witness how the famous bag, known for its signature cannage pattern and impeccable execution, takes on a new life in the hands of artists.
This year, the vision of the legendary accessory was presented by true visionaries of contemporary art: Sara Flores, Jeffrey Gibson, Woo Kukwon, Danielle McKinney, Duy Anh Nhan Duc, Hayal Pozanti, Faith Ringgold, Vaughn Spann, Anna Weyant, Liang Yuanwei, and Huang Yuxing. Each of them brought their unique handwriting, cultural code and artistic vision to the project.
Once again Lady Dior becomes a true work of art, reflecting the spirit of the times and the limitless possibilities of creative expression. In each new interpretation there is a sense of respect for the heritage of the House of Dior and a bold look into the future of fashion and art. It is a vivid example of how tradition can harmoniously combine with innovation to create something truly unique and inspiring.
