Paris. Silence reigns in the Balenciaga showroom, but not in the fashion world. Because Demna is leaving, and he's doing it in a way that only he knows how: with a deafening playlist from Britney Spears, mixes from BFRND, and a collection stitched together from memories, protests, and favorite T-shirts.

The Resort 2026 collection is &ldquo;The Final Chapter.&rdquo; It's the last chapter in a decade where one guy turned Balenciaga from an &ldquo;eccentric&rdquo; brand into a $2 billion cultural powerhouse that's smashing the runways.

&ldquo;It's a homecoming,&rdquo; says Demna. And indeed, everything in this collection seems to come full circle: coats with sculptural shoulders, giant bags, knee-high socks, archetypal Balenciaga silhouettes that we've had in our minds for a long time, even if we've never worn them ourselves.
All this is set to the upbeat tracks of Britney Spears, whom Demna uses in this collection as an icon of pop culture, turned inside out &mdash; as only he knows how. The songs that rocked us in the early 2000s have now been remixed to fit the vibe of &ldquo;fashionable, daring, and a little broken.&rdquo; Perfect.

The collection called Exactitudes, is a visual project about how people code themselves through clothing. Demna takes this theory and applies it to Balenciaga: not just fashion, but a system of recognizable codes, where every detail is an act of manifestation. You don't just see Balenciaga &mdash; you recognize it at a glance. Because Demna polishes the codes to a shine until they become the stylistic DNA of an entire generation.
It's all there: the &ldquo;ugly&rdquo; Crocs, the down vests, the tragicomic exaggeration of shapes, and even references to his own wardrobe &mdash; what he wears every day. And it all seems to repeat one idea: &ldquo;We're not for everyone. But if you're with us, you know it.&rdquo;

This is a show without a catwalk, but with an exhibition on the way: from July 26, the Balenciaga by Demna exhibition will open at Kering headquarters. It will feature everything: archives, forms, phrases. Those very &ldquo;archetypes,&rdquo; as he himself calls them &mdash; not things, but images that have become a way of life.
To say that Demna is ending an era is to say nothing. He is ending a revolution. But he does it with style, with a personal touch:
