Beauty mesmerizes and opens hearts. A glance or a gesture can send a stronger message than a thousand words. Gymnast and model Alexandra Satowski devotes her life to creating beauty and inspiring her audiences, no matter what it takes her.

"I realized that strength is in grace"

Alexandra, tell us about yourself, though your poise and gracefulness already speak for you.
Each flower has its own pattern like every person has their own individual handwriting and talent. From early childhood, when I was just starting my journey, training at a gymnastics school, I realized that strength is in grace. Through dance and exercise, you become a creator expressing emotions. If you do it with all your heart, the audience feels it and your performance resonates in their hearts. You become someone who inspires, someone who motivates others to become better. I think, in a way, this is my mission. Photography and ballet are types of art, which is an integral part of my life. Spectators, performances, exhausting workouts, and beautiful costumes fill me up and make my journey special.

The theatrical stage is a very special element. What does the theater mean to you?
Some people are artists. Some are art themselves.
For me, theater is a way of expressing emotions and internal dialogue through dance, through movement. Speaking to the audience in the language of dance. I used to work in theater as a ballerina, as well as in performances as an aerial gymnast, and in each performance, I wanted to convey to the audience some idea, some narrative. I&rsquo;m guessing, it&rsquo;s the same for all artists. A painter would like people looking at the canvas to read signs that are there, to decipher a secret meaning. After all, information is transmitted not only through speech but also through movements and gestures. It is also about strength because all exercises and elements of choreography require training and effort. This is truly a fusion of grace, lightness, and strength.

Tell us about your work in modeling and your most unusual shoots.
For the first time, a designer invited me to a commercial shoot after seeing me at a performance. She said, "Alexandra, you can speak with your eyes, I really like your appearance and depth.&rdquo; And she invited me to shoot jewelry. But the most memorable project was underwater. I can swim, but beautiful shots require open eyes underwater and holding your breath. It was challenging. But I saw how beautiful the resulting photos can be, how, in water, fabric gently floats and intertwines. So, I braced myself and I overcame the difficulties of posing in the water. The pictures came out gorgeous, but, on the downside, my eyes were red from bleach for a whole week. Beauty demands sacrifice, but I was happy with the result.

We see you are a very busy person. Where do you draw your energy from and how do you refill your batteries?
According to one scientific article, most creative people are introverts. I&rsquo;m not an exception. The creative flow is a special energy, when you live by it you glow, you burn. I know one thing: never let someone put out your fire, your energy. Modeling and theater are places buzzing with ideas and people, and sometimes you need to take a break from that. For me, nature is a pure source of energy and inspiration. Watching animals and landscapes, I often catch new ideas. Many designers will agree with me, as they often take into their palette the exact colors they randomly find, for example, on butterfly wings. And later these same colors shine brightly at fashion shows of new collections. I love to observe nature, to walk alone. The perfect day off for me is kundalini yoga with breathing practices and a walk in a beautiful place. Filled again with the fire of energy, I am ready to create and ignite others.
