There, she took inspiration from her life as an Italian in France, as well as drew experiences from Italian noblewoman turned French queen&nbsp;<text class="_textbox_1gl8y_17" direction="ltr" height="7.27700805664062" lengthadjust="spacingAndGlyphs" textlength="489.20715713501" x="60.4887046813965" y="-399.712341308594" data-test="textbox">Catherine&nbsp;</text><text class="_textbox_1gl8y_17" direction="ltr" height="7.27700805664062" lengthadjust="spacingAndGlyphs" textlength="489.534065246582" x="60.1657028198242" y="-387.712341308594" data-test="textbox">de Medic &ndash; who shared a similar story with Chiuri, the collection was crafted based on autobiography, reflection, and influence. "The idea was to play with this reference and how much fashion and power are in dialogue," said Chiuri in a statement.</text>

Despite SS23's ensembles being heavily influenced by the looks of the past, Chiuri views fashion as a reflection of the times, creating pieces for the women of today to wear and feel unstoppable in. As such, the designer upgrades the olden garments of the Court with the contemporary.&nbsp;
The result? Traditional corsets are upgraded with a&nbsp;<text class="_textbox_1gl8y_17" direction="ltr" height="7.27699279785156" lengthadjust="spacingAndGlyphs" textlength="242.749702453613" x="60.3557052612305" y="-231.712295532227" data-test="textbox">quasi-geometric shape that frames the bust perfectly, silhouettes are formed with lace, embroidery, and other structured materials that are reminiscent of the&nbsp;<text class="_textbox_1gl8y_17" direction="ltr" height="7.27700805664062" lengthadjust="spacingAndGlyphs" textlength="489.667942047119" x="60.0422019958496" y="-219.712280273438" data-test="textbox">wide skirts worn at the court of Catherine de Medici, and raffia coats are accentuated with floral and bird motifs.&nbsp;</text></text>
