Andrea Del Val was born in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, in 1996. Growing up in the musical capital of Venezuela created in Andrea a strong bond with the culture and folklore of her homeland. That's why although her career as a model is leading her to travel and live all over the world, her dream is to return home. She wants to share all the art and beauty of Venezuela with the rest of the world.

Andrea's admiration for Venezuelan culture was fostered by her family from a very young age. Her mother, a fashion designer, and her uncle, a photographer, instilled in her the importance of respecting and loving her roots, as well as fighting for a better world than leaving behind. They were also the first to help her pursue her dream of becoming a model. Andrea learned from them that modeling can serve as a path to self-knowledge and self-expression, and can also help the development of one's own voice.
Since she started modeling in 2007, Andrea has starred in editorials for Gmaro, Salys&eacute;, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, L'Officiel or Grazia. She has also walked for Dolce &amp; Gabbana, Gucci, Kate Spade, Polo Ralph Lauren or Michael Kors, and at the Fashion Weeks in Barcelona and Panama. She has worked in these cities as well as in Mexico and London, cultivating a deep passion for traveling.
Andrea always explores and captures the hidden gems of each place she visits. She always pursues authenticity and depth rather than the superficial. One of his projects is @<a href="https://www.instagram.com/almadelcaribe/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">almadelcaribe</a>, where she collects unique moments from each place she visits. It is a way to stay connected with local cultures and share fascinating aspects of them with those who have the same passion and curiosity. She has known Venezuelan communities around the world and has discovered that they all share the same love for the landscapes and culture of their homeland. That's why Andrea believes that her dream of opening Venezuela to the world is not only her dream but an essential aspect of the future of her country's well-being.

How difficult is it to travel without so many luxuries and banalities, and do it in a simpler and more adventurous way?
Nothing is difficult, everything is in the power of your mind... if you think that life is easy or difficult, if you think you can or can't do something &ndash; you manifest that. There are things that take time and more effort, energy than others. But for me nothing is impossible, to recognize it would be to become a slave to him. Clearly in economic matters it is easier to travel without luxuries but at the same time it requires sacrifices such as taking flights with more stopovers or sleeping on a friend's couch, sharing a room in a hostel with strangers or eating little.
Soul of the Caribbean (@almadelcaribe) more than your alter ego could be considered as your true personality?
It's as its name suggests, my soul. I believe my body is a tool to achieve my life purpose. Sometimes we have to be a character, but our essence will always be a soul. So yes, I think my blog is my personality because it carries every atom of my energy.
After getting to know 50 countries and 50 cultures, what do you take with you from each trip you have made and what have they left in you?
Wow, there are so many things, especially the fact of finding similarities with my country thousands of kilometers away. The message is clear, we are one. Despite having different beliefs, habits and that change is a constant in our lives... we need a lot of love and compassion to be able to live in unity and as always, I like to hum a phrase from a song that I love: we are all ants, just change the anthill.

Being a Venezuelan and a lover of your country and its culture, how would you like the world to know your country?
As the wonderful hidden gem that it is, I want you to know it more for its beautiful, friendly and hardworking people, for the delicious culinary culture that we adopt from our indigenous people, for the beautiful nature secrets that are hidden there, not only the highest waterfall in the world... there is much more to know. And energy... it's a wonderful country that has a great future even if it's not in mind.
When you are named "Venezuela" what is the first thing that comes to mind?
More than the mind, a warmth comes to my heart that I can only translate into love. It's where I spent all my childhood and those were the years where I was able to be with my family and friends, moments that will not come back but that always make me happy to remember.
How do you want to influence those people who can see you as a reference or an idol to follow?
I think the best way I can inspire people is not by showing them what I can do, but by showing them what they are capable of doing, even if they haven't discovered it yet.
What has been the most important trip of your life so far and how has it influenced you?
I went to Israel to see Jerusalem, but before going there I was in a part of Israel called Golan Heights, which is the border with Syria. We crossed the border to meet the people of Syria and a man received us in a small block where he lived, he was born in Israel but lived in a Muslim country and practiced the Muslim religion, all Catholic and my Jewish friends were welcomed here. The lesson I&rsquo;ve got? We are all one.

What will we see about Andrea del Val in a short time?
I plan to return to Venezuela and help rebuild what some abandoned. Without neglecting the world of fashion, look for a way to make it sustainable.
If you had the opportunity to work or volunteer for an or organization, what would it be and why?
When I was in Venezuela, I made a small organization called "thank you Venezuela". I think the best word in the world, whatever the language, is thank you, it makes us more empathetic. I would like to get it back &hearts;
What led you to have that love and respect for the earth, also educating people to become aware of the care of Mother Earth as we noticed it in your social media?
As an only child in a family, I spent a lot of time alone and had had an opportunity to pet all kinds of pets, turtles, fish, dogs and even a rabbit. Also, on weekends I went to the beach or to the farm with my family, it was very rare that I stayed at home. The adults were with the adults, I was the youngest cousin and no one played with me and after some time I was one of the oldest in family kids&rsquo; area and had to invent my own adventures in the mountains or in the sea. It may sound strange but when you spend so much time in deep contact with nature you develop a lot of its roots. You can feel super grounded and connected with Mother Earth, our origin. I am lucky, that it happened with me.
